Hulen House Apartments, owner of all adjoining property, has requested the City
to vacate a strip of street right-of-way 10 feet in width and 136 feet in length
along the north lot lines of Lots 15 through 20, Block 19 , Chamberlain Arlington
Heights, 1st Filing, as shown on the attached map. This vacation will leave a
10 foot parkway between the curb and the new right-of-way line.
This request is made so that the vacated right-of-way may be replatted with
adjoining property for additional yard and parking usage.
Subject right-of-way, acquired by dedication is not paved.
City departments and private utility companies have reviewed this request and have
no objections to this vacation, provided the applicant plats the vacated right-of-
way with adjoining property.
The City Plan Commission has reviewed this request and recommends adoption of an
ordinance vacating the public right-of-way as requested, subject to replatting.
The applicant has submitted a satisfactory replat.
City Council approval of the recommendation of the City Plan Commission is
requested.
