A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS, CHANGING AND CANCELING SOME REGULARLY SCHEDULED
CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS' FOR THE MONTHS OF AUGUST THROUGH
DECEMBER 2009
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, Texas, regularly meets on Tuesday of
each week at 10.00 a.m. except for the first and second Tuesdays of the month, which are scheduled for
7 00 p.m. in accordance with Section 3 1 of the City Council Rules of Procedures, and,
WHEREAS Chapter III, Sections 5 of the Fort Worth City Charter permits the City Council to
meet at such time and place as maybe prescribed by ordinance or resolution, but not less than 44 regular
and special meetings shall be held each calendar year and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Worth, desires to change the regularly
scheduled meeting time of the Crty Council meeting of Tuesday October 6 2009 at 7 00 p.m. to
Tuesday October 6, 2009 at 10.00 a.m. to participate in the Texas National Night Out events,
WHEREAS the Crty Council of the City of Fort Worth desires to cancel the Crty Council
meetings of Tuesday November 24 2009 at 10 00 a.m. and December 1 2009 at 7.00 p.m., to allow
for atwo-week break and the Thanksgiving Holiday Tuesday December 22, 2009 at 10.00 a.m., and
December 29 2009 at 10.00 a.m. for Christmas and New Year's Day Holidays, respectively
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT
1 The City Council meeting of Tuesday October 6 2009 at 7 00 p.m. is hereby changed to
Tuesday October 6, 2009 at 10.00 a.m.
2 The City Council meeting of Tuesday November 24 2009 at 10 00 a.m. is hereby canceled.
3 The City Council meeting of Tuesday December 1 2009 at 7.00 p.m., is hereby canceled.
4 The Crty Council meeting of Tuesday December 22, 2009 at 10.00 a.m. is hereby canceled.
5 The City Council meeting of Tuesday December 29 2009 at 10.00 a.m. is hereby canceled.
