AMENDING THE CITY OF FORT WORTH'S ANNEXATION PLAN
TO REMOVE AN APPROXIMATELY 23 ACRE TRACT OF LAND
LOCATED SOUTH OF TIMBERLAND BOULEVARD AND WEST OF
RIDGEVIEW CIRCLE
WHEREAS on December 14 1999 the City Council approved Resolution No 2598 adopting
an annexation plan for the Crty of Fort Worth in accordance with Section 43 052 of the Local
Government Code,
WHEREAS on November 27 2007 the Crty Council approved Resolution No 3558-11 2007
adopting the twentieth amendment to the City's annexation plan identifying approximately 489 acres
referred to as Area 12,
WHEREAS Keller Independent School Distract, owner of 23 0 acres of land m the Francisco
Cuella Survey Abstract 266 Tarrant County south of Timberland Boulevard and west of Ridgeview
Circle, has petitioned for full-purpose annexation of the property by the City of Fort Worth,
WHEREAS the 23 0-acre parcel owned by Keller Independent School Distract was included m
the twentieth amendment to the City's annexation plan,
WHEREAS Keller Independent School Distract has requested that the City remove the 23 0-acre
parcel from the City's annexation plan so that the area can be annexed on January 22, 2008 or as soon
thereafter as practical as an exempt owner imtiated annexation, defined m Section 43 028 of the Texas
Local Government Code,
WHEREAS Section 43 052(e) provides that a mumcipalrty may amend its annexation plan at
any time to remove an area proposed for annexation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH.
That the City's annexation plan, approved on December 14 1999 by the adoption of Resolution
No 2598, is hereby amended to remove approximately 23 acres out of the F Cuella Survey A 266
Tarrant County Texas, as shown on Exhibit A and described m Exhibit `B"
Further that the area so described may be annexed for full purposes effective on the date of this plan
amendment.
This resolution is adopted and effective this 22nd day of January, 2008

RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council approve the attached resolution amending the City's annexation
plan to remove an approximately 23-acre tract of land situated in the Francisco Cuella Survey Abstract No
266 Tarrant County from the plan
DISCUSSION
On November 27 2007 (M&C PZ 2761) the City Council adopted the twentieth amendment to the City's
annexation plan to add approximately 489 acres in far north Fort Worth referred to as Area 12 Under state
law the City Council can annex Area 12 for full purposes beginning on November 27 2010 This resolution
addresses a portion of Area 12 (AX-07-008) generally located south. of Timberland Boulevard and west of
Ridgeview Circle in Tarrant County
The property's owner Keller Independent School District, has requested that the 23 0 acre parcel be
removed from the City's annexation plan so that the parcel may be annexed as an exempt owner-initiated
annexation defined in Section 43 028 of the Texas Local Government Code Immediately following on the
City Council agenda is a Mayor and Council Communication for adoption of the full purpose annexation of
this 23 0 acre tract of land to be presented if the City Council approves this annexation plan amendment.
The property is contiguous to COUNCIL DISTRICT 2
