AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING
SPRINGFIELD STREET IN THE 500 AND 600 BLOCKS
THEREOF A WIDTH OF 50' AND A LENGTH OF APPROX-
IMATELY 500 ' FROM THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF EAST
LANCASTER AVENUE SOUTH TO THE NORTHERLY LINE
OF DALLAS AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION
OF THE FEE IN SAID LAND; REPEALING ALL ORDIN-
ANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING THAT
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMED-
IATELY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH,
TEXAS :
SECTION 1.
That Springfield Street in the 500 and 600 Blocks
thereof a width of 50' and a length of approximately 500'
from the southerly line of East Lancaster Avenue south to
the northerly line of Dallas Avenue, be and the same is
hereby vacated, abandoned and permanently closed as a ,
right-of-way for street purposes.
SECTION 2 .
That the fee to the land in the above described street
right-of-way is hereby released and will revert to the
adjacent owners as provided by law, SAVE AND EXCEPT that
easements are reserved therein for any and all existing
utilities .
SECTION 3.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and
it is so ordained.

with the consent of Life Investors, Inc. , owner of Tract 35, M. Garrison Survey,
has requested that the City vacate Springfield in the 500 & 600 blocks a width
of 50 feet and a length of approximately 500 feet from East Lancaster Avenue
south to Dallas,Avenue, as shown on the attached p®
Subject right of-way is unpaved and unusable for access.
City departmentw-and private utility companies have reviewed this request and
have no objections provided a satisfactory replat is fu ed retaining ease-
mentt for existing utility facilities; the street is physically closed with
curb and gutter at both ends and that such replat incorporates Lots 19 & 20 so
that legal frontage is provided to East Lancaster or Dallas Avenue.
The City Plan Commission has recommended that subject right-of-way be *acated
subject to satisfactory replat. Such a plat has been submitted to City Staff®
Recommendation
It is recommended that an Ordinance be adopted vacating the subject right-of-
way as requested®
