HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3684-12-2008A RESOLUTION NO 3684-12-2008 DESIGNATING DECEMBER 6, 2008, AS EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE DAY WHEREAS, the National Forum for Black Public Administrators -North Texas Chapter (NFBPA NTC) and the Hispanic Leadership Organization (HLO) sponsor the Executive Leadership and Development Institute (ELDI) and WHEREAS, cities, counties and states face an array of critical that require talented, energetic, creative, resourceful and capable executives and managers from diverse backgrounds, and WHEREAS, NFBPA and HLO strive to identify prepare and groom young leaders, providing them with relevant exposure to the challenges and rewards of public service careers, and WHEREAS, NBFPA and HLO are committed to following their tradition of presenting contemporary topics germane to members and the participants m this program by providing a curriculum that mixes academic-based theory and practitioner-based experience; and WHEREAS, on December 6 2008, thirty public managers will be the second graduating class of the yearlong program, which gave participants the opportunity to interact with elected officials and appointed administrators who make crucial public policy decisions daily NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, THAT December 6 2008, is hereby designated as Executive Leadership and Development Institute Day m the City of Fort Worth.
