The runway extension project is a multi-year multi-phase project that began in January of 2001 This
project progresses according to funds made available by the FAA. The FAA allows some latitude with
projects such as the Alliance Airport Runway Extension where the project is being funded over several
fiscal years in various phases and grants Even though there are multiple grants for this project, the FAA
still considers the Alliance Airport Runway Extension one project. This allows us to use the funds from
multiple grants as long as we use the oldest one first and then progress to the next one
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION
The Finance Director certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the
attached appropriation ordinance funds will be available in the current capital budget, as appropriated of
the Aviation Improvements Capital Projects Fund
