AN ORDINANCE REFERRING BIDS FOR THE IlTROVEFUVT OF A PORTION OF MORTON STREET, IN THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS, TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR A REPORT THEREOF;. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CI^1Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That bids for the construction of improvements on Morton Street, from the westerly line of Currie Street to the easterly line of University Drive, save and except the intersection of Norwood Street, in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, having on the 6th day of July, 1948, been opened and read and the following persons having filed bids for the performance of such work or part thereof, to wit: General Construction Company, Fort Worth, Texas, Worth Construction Company, Fort Worth, Texas, Brown & Root, Inc., Houston, Texas, and Texas Bitulithic Company, Fort Worth, Texas, said bids be and the same are hereby referred to the Department of Public V.orks, which is directed to cause to be j-)romptly filed with the City Council a report and recommendation thereon. SECTION 2. That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage.
