AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND EXTINGUISHING A
PORTION OF AVENUE C, IN THE BOAZ & DILLOW ADDITION,
AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TARRANT
COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN CABINET A, SLH)E 6972
OF THE PLAT RECORDS OF TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS,
CONTAINING APPROXIMATELY 0.131 ACRES OF LAND;
PROVIDING FOR REVERSION OF FEE IN SAH) LAND,
PROVIDING THAT THE CITY SHALL RETAIN ALL EXISTING
UTILITIES EASEMENTS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That a portion of Avenue C, located in the Boaz & Dillow Addition, an addition
to the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, as recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 6972 of
the Plat Records of Tarrant County, Texas, containing approximately 0.131 acres of land,
and as more specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference be and the same is vacated and extinguished.
SECTION 2.
That the easement to the land in the above-described vacated alley right of way is
hereby released and shall revert to the adjacent owner as provided by law.
SECTION 3.
All existing utility easement be shall be retained by the City until such time all
utilities located in that easement are relocated at the owner's expense.

SECTION 4.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 5.
That this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

"C" as shown on the Re-Pint of BOAZ & DILLOW ADDITION, recorded in Cabinet A, Slide 69.72, of the Plat
Records of Torrant Gounty, Texas, said tract being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod with a yellow plastic cap stamped "RPLS 5686" set for corner, said corner
being in the south right-of-dray line of Avenue C, said corner also bears NORTH, a distance of 246.00' and
EAST, a distance of 38.82' from the southwest corner of Lot 2-R, Block 5-R of said 80AZ & DlLLOW
ADDITION; '
THENCE NORTH, over and across said Avenue C, a distance of 100.00' to a 1/2"' iron rod with a yellow plastic
cap stamped "RPLS 5686" found for corner, said corner being in the north right-of-way sine of said Avenue
C, said corner also bears, SOUTH, a distance of 55.00' and EAST, a distance of 38.82' from the northwest

Adopt an Ordinance Vacating a Portion of the Cul-de-Sac for Avenue C, 57 Feet Long by 100 Feet
Wide, Containing Approximately 0.131 Acres of Land, Block 5R, Boaz and Dillow Addition, in the
City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt an ordinance vacating a portion of the cul-de-sac for Avenue
C, 57 feet long by 100 feet wide and containing approximately 0.131 acres of land, Block 5R, Boaz and
Dillow Addition, City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.
DISCUSSION:
North Texas Surveying LLC, on behalf of the City of Fort Worth, has requested to vacate the above
referenced right-of-way and to replat with the adjoining property for the purpose of expanding the parking at
the planned Nashville NPD No. 6 facility. The City Plan Commission recommended approval of this request
at its meeting on April 23, 2008. An acceptable replat (FS-08-067) has been received. Any existing utilities
will be relocated at the applicant's expense, or retained within a designated easement, along with an
appropriate plat note that no permanent structures may be constructed or placed thereon.
This request is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 8.
