DISCUSSION
The National League of Cities ("League') has designed the Partnership For Working Toward Inclusive
Communities ("Partnership') to support cities and towns in their commitment to inclusion The League
currently has 95 partners in 32 states representing close to nine and a half million people working toward
inclusive communities. These groups focus their efforts on availability of affordable housing race and ethnic
relations, and equal citizen participation in community decision-making The League has invited local
officials to join the Partnership and to make a commitment to building more inclusive communities in their
own cities and towns
Fort Worth will join such cities as Corpus Christi Plano and Grand Prairie as well as the cities of Atlanta,
Indianapolis, Baltimore St. Louis Oklahoma City and Columbus, Ohio in support of the Partnership For
Working Toward Inclusive Communities.
