A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE PROPOSED RELOCATION OF THE
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS POST OFFICE
WHEREAS Museum Place Development Group Ltd proposes to develop a $200
million mixed use development project to be known as Museum Place on an 11 acre site
bounded by Bailey Street, Camp Bowie Boulevard, Boland Street, West Seventh Street, and
Arch Adams Street and
WHEREAS to connection with the Museum Place project, Museum Place
Development Group Ltd and the United States Postal Service propose to relocate the
Arlington Heights Post Office (ZIP Code 76107) from its current location at 3301 Darcy
Street to a proposed location on a triangular block bounded by West Sixth Street, University
Drive and Bailey Avenue as depicted on the attached map at Exhibit A and
WHEREAS the nationally acclaimed architectural team of Robert Venturi and Denise
Scott Brown with financial support from various local foundations has designed a new
6 000 square foot post office building that will serve as a unique gateway to Museum Place
and the Cultural District, as depicted on the attached Exhibit B and
WHEREAS the Postal Service and Museum Place Development Group Ltd in
accordance with federal regulations have requested that the Fort Worth City Council review
and comment on this project and
WHEREAS the City Council has received comments from interested parties at a duly
advertised public hearing and, accordingly wishes to endorse the proposed relocatton of the
Arlington Heights Post Office
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS THAT
The City Council hereby endorses the proposed relocatton of the Arlington Heights Post
Office as described herein

Resolution Endorsing the Proposed Relocation
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council
1 Conduct a public hearing on the proposed relocation of the Arlington Heights Post Office to allow the
public the opportunity to give testimony and present written evidence and
2. Adopt the attached resolution endorsing the proposed relocation of the Arlington Heights Post Office
DISCUSSION
Museum Place Development Group Ltd proposes to develop a $200 million mixed-use development
project to be known as Museum Place on an 11-acre site bounded by Bailey Street, Camp Bowie
Boulevard Boland Street, West Seventh Street, and Arch Adams Street.
As part of the Museum Place project, Museum Place Development Group Ltd and the United States Postal
Service propose to relocate the Arlington Heights Post Office (ZIP Code 76107) from its current location at
3301 Darcy Street to a proposed location on a triangular block bounded by West Sixth Street, University
Drive and Bailey Avenue as depicted on the attached map at Exhibit A.

relocation Adoption of the attached resolution serves as the City Council's endorsement of the proposed
relocation of the Arlington Heights Post Office
The developer Museum Place Development Group Ltd will fund the construction of the Post
Office There is no city participation
The current and proposed Post Office sites are located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7 and serve portions of
COUNCIL DISTRICTS 7 and 9
