HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3178-03-2005A Resolution No 317 8'- 43- ~~ Request for Waiver from the One Mile Rule for Low Income Housing Tax Credit Application Whereas, the City of Fort Worths 2004 Comprehensive Plan is supportive of the preservation, improvement, and development of affordable rental and ownership housing; Whereas, the City of Fort Worths 2003-2005 Consolidated Plan makes the development of affordable rental housing for the elderly a high pnonty Whereas, Oak Timbers Fort Worth South, LP has applied for a Low Income Housing Tax Credit ("LIHTC") award for the construction of 168 units of affordable multifamily housing for the elderly wrthm one (1) mile of an existing LIHTC recipient; Whereas, the 2005 State of Texas Qualified Action Plan states that LIHTC applicants may not be wrthm one (1) mile of an existing recipient for a period of three (3) years; and Whereas, the 2005 State of Texas Qualified Action plan further states that this one (1) mile rule maybe waived by vote of the local~unsdichon.
