Adopt the resolution fixing in advance as far as practicable the amount to be paid to Gary Ingram and James Griffin in an amount not to exceed $60 000 ~~ DISCUSSION There are various legal issues concerning the City's employment benefits. In order to effectively address these issues staff will need to receive advice and guidance in responding to those issues and in representing the City in any litigation involving those issues Because of the extraordinary importance of the issues it is the opinion of the City Attorney that outside legal counsel with knowledge and expertise in matters involving labor and employment issues be retained to advise the City Attorney FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIF{CATION The Finance Director certifies that the funds are available in the current operating budget, as appropriated of the Risk Management Fund.
