SUBJECT:
Adopt Appropriation Ordinance in the Amount of$8,194.00 for Increased Project Management and
Inspection Costs for the Walsh Ranch Pump Station Project, Located at 8000 E. Interstate 20 (COUNCIL
DISTRICT 3)
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated
receipts and appropriations in the Water Capital Fund in the amount of$8,194.00 from available funds for
the purpose of funding the Walsh Ranch Pump Station Project.
DISCUSSION:
On November 17, 2015, Mayor and Council Communication (M&C C-27538), the City Council authorized
the execution of a construction contract with Felix Construction Company for construction of the Walsh
Ranch Pump Station.
This project requires $8,194.00 in additional funding to cover project inspection costs associated with Staff
time. Construction of the project has been completed. It is anticipated that there will be no impact to the
Water Department's Operating Budget.
The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3, Mapsco 760.
This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that upon approval of the above recommendation and adoption of the
attached appropriation ordinance, funds will be available in the current capital budget, as appropriated, of
the Water Capital Fund. The Fiscal Year 2017 Water Operating Fund Budget includes appropriations of
$21,060,000.00 for the purpose of providing Pay-As-You-Go funding for Water Capital Projects. After this
transfer for Fiscal Year 2017, the balance will be $11,500,188.00. Appropriations for the Walsh Ranch
