Re: Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation, Contract 90-Amendment No. 2
City Project No. 02382
Dear Walter:
As a result of Oncor's request to relocate sanitary sewer main L-3242 and a portion of M-187 out from
under the foundation of their high-voltage tower, we have prepared a scope of services for Amendment
No. 2 for Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Contract 90. The relocation of L-3242 and M-187 will also
require redesign of M-265 within its current alignment. We considered relocating this line to minimize
tree removal, however, relocating would require a new casement, which would add cost and further delay
the project. Therefore,it is our recommendation that this line remain in its current location. The scope
of services and corresponding fees are as follows:
Description Unit Qty I Unit
Additional Services Requested
Evaluate Alignment Alternatives for L-3242 &M-187 1 LS
Redesign of 150 LF of L-3242 1 SHT
Redesign of 806 LF of M-187 2 SHT
Redesign of 271 LF of M-265—In the same location. 1 SHT
Additional Survey—1000 LF 290 R Wide 1 LS
Fee For Additional Services $22,384.00
Work not included in the amendment include the following:
Permit application filing fees
Online submittal of permit applications
Services to acquire real property including but not limited to acquisition of easements, approval of
easements, preparation of additional temporary right-of-entry documents, and other related
services
The engineering fee of$22,3 84 is based on design fees of$12.42/LF and survey fees of$6500 for the
additional width through the Oncor property. A detailed level of effort is attached for your reference.
