Van", Mr. Harman 0. Cox served"with distinction as a caber and
Cbsiravn of the Zoning Ward of Adjustment of the City of Port North for
nearly fifteen years, and as a Bamber and Cbairm a of the City Plan Commission
of the City of Port Borth for more than five years, and is at present Chair-
man of the Plan Com■issioni and,
WHERUS, as Chairsaa of the City Plan Commission, Xr. Cox was most
instrumental is the preparation of the City of Port North's "Preliaioary Plan
for the 1980 Port North Urban Area"; amd,
WHSRUS, the "Preliainary Plan for the 1980 Port North Urban Area" von
the "Best of Class" award and was voted "Best of Bxshibits" in the 1966 Indus-
trial Literature Awards Competition at the annual conference of the Asaricas
' Industrial Development Council in Seattle, Washington, in April of 1966; and,
WORUS, Xr. Cox's civic pride, marked ability, and sincerdty of pur-
pose have gained for his the respect and adairatioa of the citisens of Port
Worth, the City Council, the City Plan Comaission sabers, and the City

That lir. Harlan 0. Cox be commanded for his outstanding leadership in
the field of city planning, and as a somber and as Chairman of the toning
Board of Adjustment and especially as Chairman of the City Plan Commission,
during the period that the City Plan was produced, and that grateful acknow-
ledgsaat be made and sincere appreciation be expressed for his unselfish
service to our City and community.

North be directed to record this commendation and tribute is the Mantes of
the City Council and to furnish the original hereof to Xr. Cox.
