RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, on the nineteenth day of November, 1967, death eaLled
Mr. George C. Kemble, an outstanding oitisen of the City of Fort Worth;
arid,
WHEREAS, Mr. Kemble reosived his elementary and seoondwr�y education
in the Fort Worth public sohoois, graduated from Texas Christiar> Uni-
versity, and reoeived his law degree from The University of Texas; and,
WHEREAS, he served the people of Fort Worth as a State Legi3lator,
as Assistant City Attorney, and as aoting City Manager for a short period
in 1939; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Xemble was a member of University Christiana Church,
Moslah Temple Shrine, Fort Worth-Tarrant County Bar Asaooiationa, State
Bar Association, and Ameri.oan Bar Assooiation; and,
WHEREAS, his oontributione to his oommmnmity, to his church, and to
the betterment of eooisty itself wan the esteem of all who knew him:
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORT;!,
TEXAS:
That, in the passing of Mr. Xemble, the City Counoil of the Cit;
of Fort Worth mourns the loss of a man who made signifioant oontril)utions
to the City and its people; that, as a tribute to his memory, this resotu-
tion be adopted by the Council and be spread upon the minutes of the
Counoil meeting; and that, when the City Counoil adjourns today+, it do so
in his honor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that oopies of this resolution be furnished
to surviving ,members of his family as an sepression by the Cite Council
members of their sympathy.
