WHEREAS, the 1868 Tarrant County United Favid drive on Ootober 16,
1888, e.aceeded its $3,881,846.00 goal for the 1868 support of its 66
member tVenciss; ws4
WHEREAS, the Public SWloyses Division received the J. Lee Johnson,
Jr. Trophy for aandsving the highest peroentage of its goal in the ow%vdgnf
and,
WHEREAS, aWkyese of the City of Fort Worth oontributed a total
of $106,288.46 awseding the highest goal ever assigned to them by
12x; and,
4HERBAS, under the leadership of Dr. W. V. Bradshaw as City
Reptoyes CaRwign Director, the department heads, division heads and de-
partmental owgwign emoutdves fadthj%lly oarried the story of United
Fund to all City onployess, resulting in the employees aontribut;ng
generously to the owpadgn; and,
WUEREAS, the employses of the City of Fort Worth demonstrated ramaark-
able oommundty interest and aivdo obligation by freely oontributing to
the welfare of those less fortunate aitdsens of Tarrant County who are
served by the 86 member agencies of the United PWnd: NOW, TAEREPORE,
BE Xr RESOLVED BY TAE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORT$,
TEXAS:
That all City employees be oosmtrnded for their oamooaity interest
and aivie pride refleoted by their outstanding oontrdbutdone to the

1888 United Fund owpadgn.
That apprtoiation be empreesed to Dr. W. V. Bradshow, City Xwptoyse
Cogaign Diritotor, the deparftent heads and dopa rbwnt em paign swoutdves
for faithMZy oariying the story of United Fund to all City weployees.
BE IT FURTHER MWOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon
the minutes of the City Counoil and that ocpies be furnifshed to Dr. W. V.
Bradshaw and every deparument and envision of the City povermunt.
