A 'ENDIUAL
:Mr. Jim Pittman passed from this life on Saturday, the
30th day of October, 1971. tie was in his first year as head
coach at Texas Christian University. His influence for good
uas making a tr+e-endous impact upon those with whom, he worked
and upon those with whanlie came in contact in his daily
activities. His death brought to an end a splendid career in
football.
Mr. Pittman had gained the respect of all persons
connected with TCU. lie was proud to serve the University and
accepted the responsibility of a coach with hanor and dignity.
Mr. Pittman had faith in his fellowman, his country and
his God. le was a devoted husband and father and a faithful
friend. TCU and Fort Worth have lost a highly respected citizen.
