HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 3295-12-2005A Resolution in Memoriam of Officer Henry "Hank" Nava NO 3a9S-~~-a-~ WHEREAS, Officer Henry `Hank" Nava, spent over 15 years in service to various communities as a Police Officer and WHEREAS, Officer Nava served the citizens of Fort Worth in a stellar and community-oriented capacity for 13 years and WHEREAS Officer Nava was among the elite of Fort Worths finest and was extremely proficient and professional in all aspects of his career and WHEREAS Officer Nava provided a standard for the ideal Fort Worth Police officer one guided by honor valor bravery and courage and WHEREAS Henry `Hank" Nava was also an outstanding community member loving husband dedicated father and friend to many as witnessed by the outpouring of support and concern shown by this community during the last few days, and WHEREAS on December 1 2005 Officer Henry `Hank" Nava gave his life while in the line of duty as a Fort Worth Police Officer NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS 1 That the City of Fort Worth honors Officer Henry `Hank" Nava for his commendable and exemplary work as a Fort Worth Police Officer his honorable life as a citizen and an individual, and for making the ultimate sacrifice that any police officer faces in the performance of their duties and 2 That the City of Fort Worth offers its condolences to Hanks family especially his wife, Teresa, and their children KayLeigh and Justin, to Hank s parents, Henry and Nancy Nava, and Teresa s parents, Linda, Marie, and Ernie Cruz, as well as to his colleagues and friends, who grieve for the tragic loss of such a noble person, father friend and Fort Worth Police Officer and 3 That the City of Fort Worth through its duly elected City Council adopts this resolution in memoriam of Officer Henry `Hank" Nava. ~~~ a~ Adopted this 13~` Hof ~Q-~Q mil' ~-~' ~ 2005 ATTEST ~' ~ ~~, ~~ r~..
