WHEREAS, the fact that future extensions of the AIRTRANS System
will involve many different types of construction over areas of the Airport
which will be both within and without the various buildings to be constructed,
renders it necessary that certain procedures and policies concerning wage
rate determinations be agreed upon in order to insure a consistent treatment
of all future contracts, Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH:
SECTION 1. That the Council adopts the following policies concerning
all future AIRTRANS System extensions:
(1) All future contracts as to extending the AIRTRANS System being
built simultaneously with the building and under the building itself shall
be at Building Trade Rates for that portion of the System.
(2) This action shall not be an admission that work being done on
the AIRTRANS System within a building being simultaneously built is of
a similar character as to that for construction of the portion of the AIRTRANS
System outside the building.
(3) Notice shall be given to the affected parties when a wage deter-
mination is to be considered by the respective Councils of the Cities of
Dallas and Fort Worth.
(4) This action shall have no effect on any existing contracts.
(5) This action shall not be considered as a precedent as to
any other work or rate structure other than that for the AIRTRANS System
being built inside a building being simultaneously constructed.
SECTION 2. That thio resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its passage
