R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Tandy Corporation has agreed with the City of Fort
Worth to provide free transportation for the citizens of Fort Worth
along certain designated routes in the downtown area of Fort Worth; and
WHEREAS, Tandy Corporation has agreed with the City of Fort
Worth to provide such free transportation via certain buses that have
been purchased by Tandy Corporation for such purpose; and
WHEREAS, Tandy Corporation has agreed to operate such buses at
the sole expense of Tandy Corporation and without charge to the persons
" using said bus transportation; and
WHEREAS, Tandy Corporation has agreed to indemnify and hold harm-
less the City of Fort Worth from and against all liabilities, claims,
demands, causes of action and costs arising out of or pertaining to 'the
operation of the aforesaid buses, and Tandy Corporation has agreed to
provide public liability insurance insuring Tandy Corporation and the
City of Fort Worth against liability for injury to persons and property
and for the death of any person or persons arising out of the operation
of the buses, such insurance to be in amounts of not less than $100, 000
for any person injured or killed., $300, 000 for any one accident and
,$100, 000 for property damage; and
WHEREAS, the buses to be utilized by Tandy Corporation for such
free transportation are described as follows:

Engin: AEC diesel, 6 cylinders,115 HP@ 1800 rpm

Fuel: Diesel, 35 U.S.gallon capacity;approx. 12 mpg
Speed: Governed at 45 mph
and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth under the provisions of Article
827a, Texas Penal Code, is authorized to regulate the movement and
operation of such oversize buses on public roads other than state high-
ways within the corporate boundaries of the City of Fort Worth; and
WHEREAS, such buses cannot reasonably be dismantled; and
WHEREAS, a public necessity exists for the operation of such
free transportation service agreed to be furnished by Tandy Corporation;
and
WHEREAS, the operation of such buses will promote the public
safety and welfare of the City of Fort Worth.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Fort Worth, Texas, as follows :
1. The operation of the above described buses by Tandy Corpora-
tion under the conditions and terms herein prescribed is hereby autho-
rized for so long as Tandy Corporation desires to render such service
and until further action of the City Council of Fort Worth.

2. The buses may be operated along the following routes in the
City of Fort Worth and no other:
In the downtown area of the City of Fort
Worth within and around the area bounded
by Belknap Street on the North, Burnett
Street on the West; Commerce Street on the
East; and 14th Street on the South.
3. Buses may be operated as provided herein only upon the obtain-
ing by Tandy Corporation and the continuing in effect by Tandy Corpora-
tion of public liability insurance insuring Tandy Corporation and the
City of Fort Worth against liability for injury to persons and property
and for the death of any person or persons arising out of the operation
of the buses, such insurance to be in amounts of not less than $100, 000
for any person injured or killed, $300, 000 for any one accident and
$100, 000 for property damage.
4. Buses may be operated as herein provided only so long as
Tandy Corporation has in effect an agreement with the City of Fort Worth
to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Fort Worth from and against
all liabilities, claims, demands, causes of action and costs arising
out of or pertaining to the operation of the buses.
5. The operation of such buses shall be solely at the cost and
expense of Tandy Corporation, and without cost or expense to the City of
Fort Worth, and Tandy Corporation shall make no charge to persons utiliz-
ing the transportation so furnished.
