Sha11 the City of Fort Worth, Texas, through its
City Council, issue its negotiable coupon bonds
in the principal sum of Thirty-seven Million,
Two Hundred and Thirty-five Thousand Dollars
($37,235,000) for the purpose of making permanent city
improvements by constructing, improving and ex-
tending the streets, thoroughfares and storm
drains of said city, including in such permanent
public improvements the straightening, widening,
paving, grade separation, lighting and drainage
of said streets and thoroughfares, and acquir-
ing the necessary lands therefor, said bonds be-
ing payable serially as may be determined by the
City Council, so that the last maturing bonds
sha11 become payable within forty (40) years
from the date thereof, bearing interest at a rate
not to exceed the maximum prescribed by law at

annually, and levy a sufficient tax to pay the

stations and training facilities, improving and
extending the city fire alarm and communications

pursuant to propositions adopted by a majority
vote of the qualified electors of the City at
special elections held on January 25, 1949,
January 26, 1954, January 31, 1956, and Octo-
ber 19, 1965, respectively, for the purpose
of making permanent city improvements by im-
proving and extending the V�7aterworks System of
said city, said bonds to be issued at one time
or in installments from time to time as the
City Council shall determine, the bonds of
each installment being payable serially as may
be determined by the City Council, so that the
last maturing bonds shall become payable with-
in forty (40) years from the date thereof, and
bearing interest at a rate not to exceed the
maximum prescribed by law at the time of the
issuance thereof, payable semi-annually, and
providing for the payment of principal and in-
terest on said bonds by pledging the combined
net revenues from the operation of the Water
and Sewer Systems of said City?
