RESOLUTION FILE NO. JOINT RESOLUTION WHEREAS, The City of Fort Worth, a Home Rule Municipal Corporation of Tarrant County, Texas, hereinafter called Fort Worth; and the Town of Crowley, a city incorporated under the general laws of the State of Texas and located in Tarrant County, Texas, hereinafter called Crowley; have corporate boundaries which are adjacent and contiguous at various points, and WHEREAS, Fort Worth and Crowley have heretofore adopted a Joint Reso- lution fixing and establishing a common boundary line between the two cities and apportioning extraterritorial jurisdiction, and WHEREAS, the adopted Joint Resolution is of record in Volume 51-36 at pages 279-295 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and WHEREAS, the owner of a certain 83 acre tract of land which was placed within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Fort Worth by the terms of the adopted Joint Resolution has requested that said tract of land be removed from Fort Worth's extraterritorial jurisdiction and placed within Crowley's extraterritorial jurisdiction, and WHEREAS, Fort Worth and Crowley find that the requested 83 acre tract should be released from Fort Worth's extraterritorial juris- diction and placed within Crowley's jurisdiction, and WHEREAS, the transfer of the 83 acre tract of land requires an amend- ment to mend-ment .to the Joint Resolution previously adopted by Fort Worth and Crowley, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT JOINTLY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF CROWLEY: IFT .-7-__ 4 r: SECTION 1 THAT the hereinafter described tract of land be and the same is hereby released from the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Fort Worth and placed within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the Town of Crowley, said tract of land being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEING portions of the R. W. Waggoner Sur- vey, Abstract No. 1618, the John Steele Survey, Ab- stract No. 1381, the Sarah Gray Survey, Abstract No. 558 and the John 11. Lucas Survey, Abstract No. 932, situated about 12 miles southerly from the Courthouse of Tarrant County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point for corner in the Fort Worth and Crowley common boundary line a: established by Joint Resolution of record in Volume 51-36 at pages 279-295 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas; which point of beginning has coordinates x=2,051,066.14 and y=334,253.62; which point of beginning is also in'the west line of the tract conveyed to Homer M. Crouch, et. ux. by deed of record in Volume 2088 at page 2 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas. THENCE South No Degrees-33 Minutes-59 Seconds West, along and with the west line of the Homer M. Crouch tract, to and along and with the east line of the Joe W. Crouch tract, under fence and in possession as described in the deed to Joe W. Crouch, et. ux. , of record in Volume 2276 at page 510 of the Deed Records of,Tarrant County, Texas; and in all 2,610.89 feet to a point for corner in the north right-of-way line of State Farm to Market Highway No. 1187. THENCE North 88 Degrees-40 Minutes-03 Seconds West 9.03 feet to a point for corner. THENCE South No Degrees-26 Minutes-18 Seconds West, along and with the east line of the Joe W. Crouch tract 2,306.66 feet to a point for corner. THENCE South 72 Degrees-49 Minutes-07 Seconds West, 850.17 feet to a point for corner which point for corner has coordinates x=2,050,202.01 and y=329,084.79. THENCE North 25 Degrees-56 Minutes-42 Seconds West, along and with the established Fort Worth and Crowley common boundary line, 1,011.70 feet to a point for corner. 2 THENCE North 12 Degrees-29 Minutes-14 Seconds East, along and with the established Fort 4 Worth and Crowley common boundary line, 1,617.36 feet to a point for corner. THENCE North 19 Degrees-40 Minutes-02 Seconds East, along and with the established Fort Worth and Crowley common boundary line, 2,845.43 feet to the place of beginning and containing 83 acres of land. SECTION 2 THAT the City of Fort Worth shall and does hereby release all extraterritorial jurisdictional rights in and to the above des- cribed territory. SECTION 3 THAT the Town of Crowley shall and does hereby accept and will exercise extraterritorial jurisdictional rights in and to the above des- cribed territory. SECTION 4 THAT as to the 83 acre tract hereinabove described this agreement shall and does constitute a change, modification, and amend- �4 ment to that Joint Resolution heretofore adopted by Fort Worth and Crowley and recorded in Volume 51-36 at pages 279-295 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas. SECTION 5 THAT this Joint Resolution and the terms thereof shall be- come binding on the City of Fort Worth and the Town of Crowley upon the adoption thereof in regular City Council meetings of both cities. SECTION 6 THAT this Joint Resolution, upon adoption by Fort Worth and Crowley, shall be executed in duplicate originals and a copy thereof shall be spread in full on the minutes of each City. SECTION 7 THAT an executed copy of this Joint Resolution shall be filed for record in the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and f t, 3 - A""N copies of the recorded instrument shall be deposited in the permanent files of the City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth and the City Secretary of the Town of Crowley. SECTION 8 THAT the hereinabove described territory is shown on Exhibit A, a map attached hereto and specifically incorporated herein by refer- ence.
