DISCUSSION: On April 19th, 2016, the City Council authorized execution of a Design Build Construction Contract with FPI Builders, LLC, (FPI) in an amount not to exceed $7,500,000.00 for the new Sixth Patrol Division facility. Change Order No. 1, adds $580,264.00 to the contract for a revised contract amount of $8,080,264.00. As the project progressed and developed, we were able to refine both the scope of work and the budget. Utility costs were eliminated or shifted to the construction contract and certain other requirement were incorporated. FPI obtained pricing through a public bid process. FPI and the City worked together to make best value decisions and establish this guaranteed maximum price, which is within the project's original budget of$14,000,000.00. No additional project funds are required. The revised overall budget for the purchase of the land, design and construction of the Fort Worth Police Department's new Sixth Patrol Division Facility is as follows: Description Amount 11-and Acquisition $ 3,435,439.00 Design Build Cost $ 8,080,264 00 Owner's Construction Contingency Allowance $ 562,500.00 [-utilities and Impact Fees $ 161,346.00 FFixtures Furnishing & Equipment (FF&E) $ 975,000.00 Materials Testing, Survey, IT, Security, Contingency, Allowances, etc. $ 785,451.00 — W Total Project Budget r$14,000,000.00 Funding for this project was included in the Fiscal Year 2016 Police Capital Improvement Plan (M&C G- 18625) approved December 15, 2015. Funding is from Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD). Construction started March 22, 2017 and construction is anticipated to be complete in the Spring of 2018. The project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 4.
