A Resolution for the Continuation of Employment of Kelly, Hart and Hallman as
Outside Legal Council in Connection with Employee Benefits Issues
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth periodically requires legal advice
regarding various employee compensation and benefits
issues,
WHEREAS, a specific need has arisen m obtaining review of various
documents relating to the Crty's Health Benefits Plan
administration,
WHEREAS, rt is anticipated that employee benefit issues requiring
specialized legal expertise will apse from time to time;
WHEREAS, the law firm of Kelly Hart and Hallman has expertise in
the field of employee compensation and benefits and was authorized by
the City Council to provide tlus service for the City for an amount not to
exceed $10 000 without further approval on October 16, 2001 (M&C G-
13405)
WHEREAS, an additional amount not to exceed $10 000 is necessary for
the continuation of these services provided by Kelly Hart
and Hallman.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH,
That the engagement of Kelly Hart and Hallman as outside legal counsel
be confirmed pursuant to Chapter VI, Section 3 of the City Charter in order to
provide legal consultation to the City Attorney's Office concerning employee
compensation and benefits issues.

That the City Manager or his designee be authonzed to compensate Kelly
Hart and Hallman at the rate of $195 per hour not to exceed an additional amount of
$10 000
