ADOPTING THE FOURTH AMENDMENT
TO THE CITY OF FORT WORTH'S ANNEXATION PLAN
WHEREAS on December 14 1999 the City Council approved Resolution No 2598
adopting an annexation plan for the City of Fort Worth in accordance with. Section 43 052 of the
Texas Local Government Code
WHEREAS Section 43 052(e) provides that a mumcipahty may amend rts annexation
plan at any time to remove an area proposed for annexation,
WHEREAS on August 13 2002 the City Council approved Resolution No 2860
adopting the first amendment to the City s annexation plan to add Linkwood Estates an area
located south of IH 30 and east of Live Oak Place (M & C PZ 2403)
WHEREAS on August 20 2002, the City Council approved Resoluton No 2863
adopting the second amendment to the City's annexation plan to add El Rancho Estates, an area
located south of IH 30 and east and north of the Lost Creek subdivision (M & C G-13705)
WHEREAS at the time the areas were added to the municipal annexation plan, the areas
had been proposed for limited purpose annexation
WHEREAS pursuant to Sections 43 123 and 43 127 of the Texas Locai Government
Code an area that is annexed for limited purposes must be annexed for full purposes within three
years thereafter
WHEREAS on November 5 2002, the City Council rejected ordinances to annex
Linkwood Estates (M & C PZ 2417) and El Rancho Estates (M & C PZ 2418) for limited
purposes and directed City staff to prepare an amendment to the municipal annexation plan to
remove both areas
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH.
That the City's annexation plan approved on December 14 1999 by the adoption of
Resolution No 2598 is hereby amended to remove Linkwood Estates as described on attached
Exhibits A and A 1 and El Rancho Estates, as described on attached Exhibits `B and `B-
1

A parcel of land situated in the J Burleson Survey Abstract Number 78 the W Houston
Survey Abstract Number 719 situated about 11 1/z miles South 77 degrees West from
the• Courthouse ~n Tarrant County Texas, being on the waters of the South Fork of
Mary's Creek, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of that certain annexation described in Ordinance
Number 7277 being the northeast corner of that certain annexation described in
Ordinance Number 8965 (bearing base) and being the northeast corner of Mary's Creek
Estates, according to plat recorded in Volume 388-176 Page 42, Plat Records Tarrant
County Texas and being in the present south right-of way of I 30 according to the

THENCE. with the present City Lirrut line and the north line of said Mary's Creek

EL RANCHO ESTATES LEGAL DESCRIPTION
A parcel of land situated in the S H. Pettit Survey Abstract Number 1234 situated about
11 ih miles South 77 degrees West from the Courthouse in Tarrant County Texas, being
all of El Rancho Estates, and the right-of ways as shown on the plat thereof being
recorded in Volume 388-B Page 265 Plat Records, Tarrant County Texas, and being on
the waters of the South Fork of Mary's Creek, and being more particularly described by
metes and bounds as follows
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of El Rancho Drive as shown on said plat, being
in the south line of that certain annexation described in Ordinance Number 4849 and
being in existing south right-of way of Present U S 80 & 180 according to the `Final
R. O W Map of I 30 Project Designator 7010•
THENCE. with the present City Limit line, said existing south right-of way of present
U S 80 & 180,and the north right-of way of El Rancho Drive North 89 degrees 37
