HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2713A Resolution NO WHEREAS on October 31 2000 the City Council approved M & C G-13052 that adopted a resolution increasing to $320 000 the amount authorized to be paid to Cantey & Hanger to represent the City in Pastusek Industries, Inc., v. City of Fort Worth, Sunbelt Industrial Development Corporation, Tarrant Appraisal District, June Garrison Tax Assessor-Collector for Tarrant County, and the Fort Worth Independent School District, Cause No 141 181289-99• and WHEREAS to date the City has paid $319 752.16 to Cantey & Hanger for its legal services in the subject lawsuit; and WHEREAS the lawsuit is still pending and it is estimated that in addition to the amount authorized to date, an additional amount of approximately $30 000 will be needed to continue the defense of this litigation NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS That the compensation authorized to be paid to Cantey & Hanger for legal services to represent the City in Pastusek Industries Inc. v. City of Fort Worth, Sunbelt Industrial Development Corporation. Tarrant Appraisal District.
