AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE ESTIMATED RECEIPTS AND APPROPRIATIONS
IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,000.00 IN THE PACS GAS LEASE CAPITAL PROJECT
LEGACY FUND, FROM AVAILABLE FUNDS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE
PARKING IMPROVEMENTS AT MARINA PARK PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; MAKING THIS ORDINANCE CUMULATIVE OF PRIOR
ORDINANCES; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That in addition to those amounts allocated to the various City departments for Fiscal Year 2016-2017 in the
Budget of the City Manager, there shall also be increased estimated receipts and appropriations in the
amount of $20,000.00 in the PACS Gas Lease Capital Project Legacy Fund, from available funds, for the
purpose of funding the Parking Improvements at Marina Park project.
SECTION 2.
That should any portion, section or part of a section of this ordinance be declared invalid, inoperative or void
for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision, opinion or judgment shall in no way
impair the remaining portions, sections, or parts of sections of this ordinance, which said remaining
provisions shall be and remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
That this ordinance shall be cumulative of Ordinance 22394-09-2016 and all other ordinances and
appropriations amending the same except in those instances where the provisions of this ordinance are in
direct conflict with such other ordinances and appropriations, in which instance said conflicting provisions of
said prior ordinances and appropriations are hereby expressly repealed.
SECTION 4
This ordinance shall take effect upon adoption.

Adopt Appropriation Ordinance Increasing Estimated Receipts and Appropriations in the PACS Gas Lease
Capital Project Legacy Fund in the Amount of $20,000.00 for Parking Improvements at Marina Park

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council:
1. Authorize transfer of funds from the Contract Street Maintenance Project (P00020) to the Marina Park
Project (101055);
2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the
PACS Gas Lease Capital Project Legacy Fund (39302) in the amount of $20,000.00 and reduce the fund
balance in the Gas Lease Revenue Project (UNSGAS) of that fund by the same amount for parking
improvements at Marina Park.
DISCUSSION:
In the Fiscal Year 2017 General Capital Projects Program, various types of street maintenance techniques
are grouped into specific contract packages, including Interlocal Agree.ments with other governmental
entities.
Tarrant County has agreed to enter into an Interlocal Agreement for parking lot improvements at Marina
Park located at 4033 Marina Drive. Under the Agreement, Tarrant County will provide all necessary labor
and equipment to perForm this work and the City agrees to pay for the cost of materials and other
incidentals in the amount shown in the table. Additionally, Park and Recreation Department (PARD) will
perForm striping, post & cable and wheel stop work at a cost of $20,000.00 (City Project No. 101055).

Construction for this project is to start approximately August, 2017 with a completion date of approximately

September, 2017. Upon completion of the project there is an anticipated annual operating impact of
$750.00 in the PARD operating fund. Funding is available in the General Capital Projects Fund.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 7, Mapsco 45V.
This M&C does not request approval of a contract with a business entity.
FISCAL INFORMATION / CERTIFICATION:
The Director of Finance certifies that upon approval of the above recommendations and adoption of the
attached appropriation ordinances, funds will be available in the current capital budget as appropriated, of
the General Capital Project Fund and the PACS Gas Lease Capital Project Legacy Fund. Prior to an
expenditure being incurred, the participating department has the responsibility to validate the availability of
funds.
