HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2756_~ ~s~ A Resolution NO WHEREAS, thirteen city employees filed a complaint with the Texas Commission on Human Rights Claim R0008074 WHEREAS because the City seeks to avoid any conflicts of interest that might result from the City s attorney s being fact witnesses it is necessary to retain outside legal counsel to represent the City in this case and WHEREAS Gary Ingram of the law firm of Jackson Walker possesses the required knowledge and expertise in civil litigation and has agreed to represent the City NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS 1 That Gary Ingram of the law firm Jackson Walker pursuant to Section 3 Chapter VI of the City Charter is employed to represent the City of Fort Worth in the claim and to advise the City Attorney in matters relating thereto 2 That, as far as practicable the compensation to be paid to Gary Ingram for his services is hereby fixed in an amount not to exceed $15 000 00 ADOPTED this _ o~_~~'~_ day of ____ 2001 - ---------------- ~wRO~ CITY G~?~~.C~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ city secrea:~ or the tatty of Fort Wortfi~,'rex~r
