The DPS Texas Police Officers Memorial Ride is a special way to honor those that have ended their watch by serving the community. In April 2014,Fort Worth had four of Fort Worth's finest pay their own way to ride in the first annual memorial bike ride that covered 150 miles in honor of fallen comrades and their families. Last year,I and 20 other Fort Worth police officers rode the emotional and rewarding journey to honor our fallen peace officers. This year,I'd like to ask you to support and honor our officers' service by tangibly donating $500-$3500 to help with registration costs, lodging, food and jerseys as they represent our city. As Mayor of Texas' 5s'largest city,I plan to ride again with twenty of Fort Worth's officers and their families as ambassadors for our city,All participants will ride in this two day event, starting from Fort Worth stopping overnight in LaGrange and finishing in Austin. The impact of this memorial ride reaches far beyond the affected fellow officers, families and their children. It gives our city an opportunity to recognize, uplift and serve those who have already selflessly given of themselves. Any contributions received in excess of our ride expenses will be given to the families of fallen officers. Thank you in advance for all you do in our community.I appreciate your consideration for supporting this meaningful event. Warm regards, J Betsy Pri.
