WHEREAS a lawsuit was filed against the City of Fort Worth styled Brian K.
Teague v City of Fort Worth Cause No 17 171494-97 and
WHEREAS because of the extraordinary damages and circumstances alleged
in this lawsuit, it was necessary to retain outside counsel to consult
with the City Attorney and
WHEREAS John Stewart of the law firm of Cantey & Hanger has extensive
experience in the defense of municipalities in matters relating to the
Tort Claim Act; and
WHEREAS John Stewart of the law firm of Cantey & Hanger agreed to provide
legal consultation #o the City Attorney in connection with this
lawsuit;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS
That John Stewart and the law firm of Cantey & Hanger be paid the sum of
$1 942 50 for legal services provided to the City of Fort Worth in the lawsuit styled Brian
K. Teague v City of Fort Worth Cause No 17 171494-97
