Proposed Tax Rate City Council approved at its August 15 meeting a resolution to consider a tax revenue increase and proposed tax rate of$0.8050 per $100 assessed valuation. Public hearings on the tax revenue increase were conducted on August 29 and September 12. At the September 12 City Council meeting, council members approved a motion to consider an alternative proposed tax rate of $0.8150 per $100 assessed valuation which would result in a two- cent tax rate reduction rather than the three-cent tax rate reduction originally proposed.
