HomeMy WebLinkAboutIR 9931 INFORMAL REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS No. 9931 To the Mayor and Members of the City Council September 26, 2017 h�T�i7� r%4 Page 1 of 1 �i �i7 Y *a SUBJECT: PROPOSED COUNCIL-INITIATED ZONING CHANGES FOR rrn PORTIONS OF THE SOUTH HILLS NEIGHBORHOOD IN COUNCIL DISTRICT 9 The October 10th City Council agenda will contain an M&C to initiate the rezoning process for approximately 358.2 acres, covering 1,623 parcels, of the South Hills Neighborhood in the TCU/Westcliff sector of Fort Worth. Council Member Zadeh requested the proposed zoning changes to rezone residential, institutional, and commercial property, as well as vacant land to zoning classifications that are consistent with the existing land uses and Comprehensive Plan. For your reference, the attached PowerPoint presentation shows the future land use in the Comprehensive Plan, the current zoning, and the proposed zoning. A meeting has been held for the affected property owners on August 21 , 2017 in the South Hills Christian Church Fellowship Hall. No one has expressed opposition to date. Public hearings for the rezoning of these properties would be held by the Zoning Commission on November 8, 2017, and by the City Council on December 5, 2017.
