HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2522 A RESOLUTION No. S~ ~,., A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE CONVENTION CENTER EXANSION OPTION WI~REAS, the expansion and renovation of the Fort Worth Convention Center is a high priority project, and WHEREAS, the Fort Worth City Council received a presentation concerning the expansion options of the center on April 13 1999 and WHEREAS the presentation included formal development plan objectives (attached) and WI~REAS, the presentation included a phased option which best meets the development plan objectives, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH. 1 Hereby endorses the phased expansion plan as depicted on the attachment to this resolution. 2. Recognizes and acknowledges that the John Kennedy Theatre will be eliminated for the first phase of the construction sequence. 3 Acknowledges that the phasing and development sequence reserves several sites for a Convention Center Hotel.
