,A Resolution 25~~
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Fort Worth recognized the importance
of the Statewide Transportation Enhancement Program (STEP), and
WHEREAS the City Council has determined the benefits of the Transportation
Equity Act of the 215` Century (TEA-21) (the ACT") and
WHEREAS the Act provides for sponsorship and nomination of Enhancement
projects by the City and
WHEREAS the City Council has determined that it is necessary and in the best
interest of the City to nominate the below listed projects within the City pursuant to the
official state rules, and
WHEREAS the City Council received public comment on the proposed projects
at it's July 6 1999 meeting
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
FORT WORTH
That the below fisted projects are hereby nominated for the 1999 Statewide
Transportation Enhancement Program (STEP)
That the City Council and its affiliates will provide a 20% local match for the
projects,
That the nominated projects are consistent with the long-range transportation
plans for the area
That the City Manager or his designee be, and is hereby authorized and directed
to submit nominations for the following projects
PROJECT
1 Berry Street from 6"' Street to Evans Avenue
2. North Main Street from the Trinity River to 28"' Street
3 Marine Creek Tributary Trail from the Mercado Parking lot to Marine Creek Park
just north of 23~d Street
4 West Rosedale Street from Forest Park Boulevard to South Main Street
5 West Rosedale Street from Main Street to IH-35W
6 Vickery Boulevard from Henderson Street to South Main Street
7 Stn Street from Main Street to Jones Street
8 Heritage Trail Downtown Signing Program (local match to be provided by others}
9 Santa Fe Depot at 14th Street and Jones Street (local match to be provided by
others}
