I. Call to Order—Mayor Betsy Price
With a quorum present, Mayor Price called the Special Called meeting of the Fort Worth City
Council to order at 10:06 a.m.,on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, in Oak Hall, Fort Worth Botanic
Gardens, 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas.
II. Conversation about Race and Culture: Impediments to Achieving Common Goals
Leon Andrews, Director of REAL, National League of Cities reviewed the activities from the
October 10, 2017,meeting. Strengths were identified as well as what the participants thought that
Fort Worth would look like in the future. The attendees participated in group exercises about what
the impediments to the Fort Worth we envision are and the strengths we have as a city to move
past the impediments to create the Fort Worth we envision.
III. Adjourn—Mayor Betsy Price
There being no further business, Mayor Price adjourned the Special Called meeting at 11:56 a.m.
