("IAS") filed a voluntary pehhon under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern Distnct of Texas- Fort Worth Division, and WHEREAS, rt is necessary that the City of Fort Worth assert xts nghts and protect its property leased by IAS and WHEREAS, because this matter is of extraordinary unportance and involves complex bankruptcy legal issues, it is necessary to retain outside counsel to assist the City Attorney m the assertion of the City's nghts and protection of the City's property and WHEREAS, firm of Gilbert & Colvin and Joseph W Colvin of the firm have substantial expertise m the area of bankruptcy law and have agreed to represent the City m this matter NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT W ORTH, TEXAS I. That the firm of Gilbert & Colvin, designating Joseph W Colvin, be retained as outside counsel pursuant to Section 3 Chapter VI of the City Charter to assist the City Attorney m the representation of the Crty's interests m the Chapter 11 bankruptcy action filed by IAS II.
