INFORMAL REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS No. 10101 To the Mayor and Members of the City Council January 30, 2018 h�T�i7 Page 1 of 1 �i �i7 Y *a SUBJECT: PROPOSED COUNCIL-INITIATED ZONING CHANGES FOR rrn f PORTIONS OF THE WESTCLIFF AREA IN COUNCIL DISTRICT 3 The February 6th City Council agenda will contain an M&C to initiate the rezoning process for approximately 34 acres, covering 126 parcels, in the Westcliff area in the TCU/Westcliff sector of Fort Worth. Council Member Byrd requested the proposed zoning changes to rezone residential properties to zoning classifications that are consistent with the existing land uses and Comprehensive Plan. For your reference, the attached PowerPoint presentation shows the future land use in the Comprehensive Plan, the current zoning, and the proposed zoning. A meeting has been held for the affected property owners on November 15, 2017 in the Westcliff Elementary School auditorium. No one has expressed opposition to date. Public hearings for the rezoning of these properties would be held by the Zoning Commission on March 14, 2018, and by the City Council on April 3, 2018.
