cents on every one hundred( $100.00) dollars valuation,on all
property , real,personal and mixed, situated in,and all personal
property owned in, the City of Fort Worth on the first day of
January,A.D.1908, liable under the law to taxation and not by
law exempt therefrom. There is hereby appropriated out of the
levy as made in this section, and is hereby set aside , so much
of the proceeds of the levy herein made as may be necessary and
requisite to pay the interest on andprovide a sinking fund of
two per cent for those obligations of the City of Fort Worth
other than bonds, upon and concerning which the said City of
Fort Worth has agreed to levy a tax in payment of such interest
and to make provision for a sinking fund thereof.
Section 6: That there is also levied, and shall be collect-
ed in the manner provided by law, from every male person over the
age of twenty-one years and under the age of sixty years, resid-
ing within the said City of Fort Worth, on the first day of Jan-
uary, A.D. 1908,an annual poll tax of one ($l.00) dollar each for
the said year; provided, however, that the following persons
shall be exempt from the payment of said poll tax,to- it: all per-
sons who are insane, blind, or deaf and dumb, and all persons
who have lost one hand or one foot; and provided further, that
said poll tax shall be included in and become a part of the pub-
lic school fund,and shall be used only for such purpose.
Section 7: That those special tax le vies which are herein-
before made in this ordinance to provide for the payment of in-
terest and to create a sinking fund, or to discharge and pay the
principal and interest of any obligation due or owing by the said
City of Fort Worth, are not to be taken as in addition to levies
for the same purposes made in the respective ordinances author-
izing and creating said obligations, but the levies hereinbefore
made in this ordinance are made pursuant to and for the purpose
