M. Van Zandt Second Addition on the ��illiam Bussell Survey, in Tarrant County, Texas, viz: All of Oakland Street that lies East of Carroll and West of the City Limits of the City of Fort Worth. Sam Evans Street East of Carroll Street and West of the City Limits of the City of Fort Worth. The alley in Block 8 out of said Addition and being that part of said alley lying East of Carroll Street and west of the City Limits of the City of Fort Worth. The alley in Block 14 out of said Addition and being that part of said alley lying East of Carroll Street and West of the City Limits of the City of Fort Worth. All of the above described streets and alleys are hereby closed to the public and vacated for all uses and purposes as public thoroughfares and revert back to the present owners and all interest that the City of Fort Worth may have irsaid streets an-d alleys fore1eer ceases from this day. Dear Sir: The attached petition requesting the opening of an alley in Block "A" Glendale Sub-division of Block 17, Field Welch Addition, was acted upon favorably by the City Council in session today, and same was referred to you with instruction that the necessary ordinance be drawn to cover. Dear Friend: As per our conversat ion you will please find enclosed a petition. Trusting you will give this your attention at the earliest Possible t oment , we are Very truly yours, H RCULES MANUFACTURING CO. , TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS : The undersigned property owners in Block A of Glen- dale Subdivision of Block 17 , Field Welch riddition to the City of ?ort ',Worth, Texas, would show to this Honorable Body that the original dedication of Glendale Addition did not provide for alleyways through the block of said subdivision; that thereafter the Southern Realty Company, then owners of said Block A, in said subdivision, executed and filed an instru- ment dated March 2rd, 1901 , dedicating to the use of the public an eleven foot alleyway through said Block A, and other blocks , in said Glendale Addition, taking 5* feet off of the back of the lots in said block, and making the lots 98 feet in depth, instead of 10::74 feet as theretofore platted. That in Block A, the alley was never opened for the public use , and has never been opened for the public use , all of the properties in said block, with the apparent consent of the public using the property to the center line of said block and inasmuch as the said dedication was never availed of by the public and it would now inconvenience the present owners of said property to compel an opening of said alley, the undersigned property owners pray the Honorable City Council of the City of Fort Worth, to relinquish unto the property owners the alley- way designated and close the same against the use of the public .
