F a: • RESOLUTION NO 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Fort Worth, TEXAS PROVIDING FOR MUTUAL ENVIRONMENTAL INDEMINIFICATION WITH TARRANT COUNTY AND THE CITIES PARTICIPATING IN THE HAZARDOUS HOUSEHOLD WASTE COLLECTION DAY SPONSORED BY TARRANT COUNTY AND THE CITY OF FORT WORTH AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth wishes to participate in a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on October 26, 1996 and WHEREAS, THE City Council of Fort Worth is authorizing the City Manager to enter into interlocal agreements for household hazardous waste collection on October 26, 1996 and WHEREAS, The City of Fort Worth requires a resolution further describing mutual environmental indemnification for Tarrant County and all participating crties.. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS Section 1 The City of Fort Worth, Texas does hereby agree to release, indemnify defend, reimburse, and hold harmless Tarrant County and the participating cities, their officers, agents, employees and volunteers, as set forth in the Interlocal Agreements between Tarrant County participating Cities and the City of Fort Worth, Texas for Household Hazardous Waste Collection. During each year while there is any liability by reason of said contract, including the calendar year 1996, the City Council of said City shall compute and ascertain the rate and amount of ad valorem tax, based on the latest approved tax rolls of said Crty with full allowances being made for tax delinquencies and costs of tax collection, which will be sufficient to raise and produce the money required to pay any sums which may be or become due during such year m no instance to be less than two percent (2%) of such obligation, together will all interest thereon, because of the obligation assumed. Said rate and amount of ad valorem tax is hereby ordered to be levied and is hereby levied against all taxable property m said City for each year while any liability exists by reason of the obligation undertaken by the contract, and said ad valorem tax shall be assessed and collected each year until all of the obligations herein incurred shall have been discharged and all liability hereunder discharged. Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect from and.after the date of rts passage.
