HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2033 A Resolution NO Q,/ WHEREAS, a lawsuit styled Fort Worth Independent School District v City of Fort Worth Texas and Southwestern Bell Telephone Company Cause No 141-156227-94, is pending in the 141st District Court of Tarrant County, Texas, and WHEREAS, because this lawsuit is of extraordinary importance and involves complex civil litigation it is necessary to retain outside counsel to assist the City Attorney in representing the City in the suit NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH TEXAS 1 That Glen Johnson and the law firm of Kelly, Hart and Hallman be retained as outside counsel pursuant to Section 3, Chapter VI of the City Charter to assist the City Attorney in representing the City in Cause No 141-156227-94 2 That as far as practicable, the compensation to be paid to Mr Johnson and the law firm is hereby fixed in an amount not to exceed $25,000 ADOPTED this day of January 1995 APPROVE© CITY COU~CiL ~,o '~~} ~ ~~ ~~ c~;~€~ CITY OF FORT WORTH
