HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 44073-A4 CITY SECRETARY AMENDMENT No.4 CONTRACT N0.- 41073-M RECEIVED TO CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT No. 44073 - FEB 4073FEB 27 I cayorF o T S, the City of Fort Worth (CITY) and Freese and Nichols, Inc. , (ERGE made and entered into City Secretary Contract No. 44073, (the CONTRACT) which was authorized on the 1st day of January, 2013 in the amount of $293, 328 . 00; and Amendment #1 was executed in the amount of $89, 110 . 00; and Amendment #2 was executed in the amount of $598, 940. 00; and Amendment #3 was executed in the amount of $164, 738 . 00 WHEREAS, the CONTRACT involves engineering services for the following project: Lake Worth Trail - Section Al-A3; and WHEREAS, it has become necessary to execute Amendment No. 4 to the CONTRACT to include an increased scope of work and revised fee. NOW THEREFORE, CITY and ENGINEER, acting herein by and through their duly authorized representatives, enter into the following agreement, which amends the CONTRACT: 1 . Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to include the additional engineering services specified in the attached Exhibit A dated January 24, 2018, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein. The cost to City for the additional services to be performed by Engineer totals $23, 957 . 00, outlined in the attached Exhibit A. 2 . Article I of the CONTRACT is amended to provide for an increase in the fee to be paid to Engineer for all work and services performed under the Contract, as amended, so that the total fee paid by the City for all work and services shall be an amount of $1, 170, 073 . 00 . 3 . All other provisions of the Contract, which are not expressly amended herein, shall remain in full force and effect. This work is related to ongoing project tasks as FNI is working with the City to determine the future trail routing and design and the trail connections so the team can move forward with the Lake Worth Trail project. ADDITIONAL SERVICE TASKS 1 Geotechnical Report Addendum #2 (no sub mark-up) $10,119 Gorrondona Associates performed this work for recommendations requested by Haydon and PARD for geotechnical design information for proposed construction access routes by Haydon and revising design recommendations at bridge #2. 2. YMCA Plan Review Set $2,976 Creation of an additional set of plans showing all proposed improvements located on YMCA property for additional submittal and review by the YMCA. 3. Project/Agency Coordination $2,997 Additional meetings/site visits with City, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies associated with potential alternative trail alignments. Includes seven (7) additional meetings that have been identified. 4. Trailhead Re-Design $160 Partial addition of design work at HWY 820. Current trailhead design to remain per direction of the City. 5. Trail Re-Routing Investigation $3,373 Field visits and map generation of alternative routes through the YMCA Property. 6. Environmental Services $4,332 Field work and research associated with permitting and potential wetland areas encountered through alternative trail alignments.
