AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF A 30 402 ACRE TRACT OF
SURPLUS DFW AIRPORT PROPERTY BY THE CITIES OF FORT WORTH
AND DALLAS TO THE CITY OF EULESS IN EXCHANGE FOR A 46 7i4
ACRE TRACT OF LAND CASH PROCEEDS AND OTHER
CONSIDERATION
WHEREAS the City of Dallas and the City of Fort Worth (the Owner
Cities) hold title to a tract of land (the Airport tract)
containing approximately 30 402 acres near Dallas-Fort
Worth International Airport (the Airport) and described
as Tract 1C A Barnard Survey Abstract No 107 in the
City of Euless Tarrant County Texas as more
specifically described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein and
WHEREAS the Airport tract was declared surplus by the DFW Airport
Board of Directors by adoption of Resolution No 95-07-
215 on July 6 199'5 and
WHEREAS the City of Euless holds or will hold title to a tract of
land (the Euless tract) containing approximately 46 714
acres of land contiguous to the Airport and described as
Tracts 3 and 4D S Tucker Survey Abstract No 1512 as
more specifically described in Exhibit "B" attached
hereto and incorporated herein and
WHEREAS the Airport Board has requested that the Owner Cities
enter into a sale and exchange agreement with the City of
Euless whereby the Airport tract will be exchanged for
the Euless tract plus cash consideration in a total
amount of $1 million payable to the Owner Cities at
closing and other consideration and
WHEREAS the Euless tract will be acquired by the Owner Cities for
the use and benefit of the Airport and
WHEREAS the cash proceeds will be distributed in accordance with
Section 9 6 (a) (2) of the 1968 Regional Concurrent Bond
Ordinance :and the 1968 Contract and Agreement between the
Owner Cities and
WHEREAS the sale and exchange of this property is in accordance
with Section 272 001(b)(6) of the Texas Local Government
Code authorizing the sale of city-owned property to
another governmental entity with the power of eminent
domain for fair market value without the necessity of
competitive bids

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FORT WORTH TEXAS
SECTION 1 That the City Manager is authorized to execute a
sale and exchange agreement with the City of Euless
SECTION 2 That the City Manager is authorized to execute the
appropriate deed conveying the Airport Tract to the City of Euless
in accordance with the agreement subject to the reservation of an
avigation easement and easements for existing utilities
SECTION 3 That the City Manager is authorized to accept and
record the appropriate deed from the City of Euless conveying the
Euless tract to the Owner Cities in accordance with the agreement
The City Manager is also authorized to accept and record
appropriate avigation easements necessitated by this sale and
exchange
SECTION 4 That the DFW Airport Plan be amended to exclude the
Airport tract and include the Euless tract upon the closing of the
transaction

SECTION 5 That the net proceeds from the transaction shall be
distributed on the basis of four-elevenths (4/11) to the City of
Fort Worth and seven-elevenths (7/11) to the City of Dallas
SECTION 6 That the City Manager is authorized to execute such
other documents as may be necessary to effectuate this transaction
SECTION 7 That the City Attorney shall approve as to form and
legality any legal instruments or documents prior to their
execution by the City Manager That the City Attorney is
authorized to approve corrections of minor errors in the
description of the properties described in Exhibits "A" and "B"
SECTION 8 That in accordance with the Chapter XXI Section 5
of the City Charter the City s intent to sell the Airport tract be
published once a week for four consecutive weeks in the official
newspaper of the City prior to the sale
SECTION 9 That this resolution shill take effect from and
after its adoption by the City Council and the adoption of a
similar resolution by the Dallas City Council

1512, Tarrarrt County Texas, and being a portion of the 77 998 acre tracts
described in the deed to Sunbelt Savings & Loan Association, recorded in
Volume 9087 Page 1978 of the Deed Records of Tarrant County Texas, and a
portion of the tract of land described in the deed to Sunbelt Savings ~ Loan
association, recorded in Volume 9067 Page 2075 of the Deed Records of
Tarrant County Texas. Said 46.714 acres of Land being more part':cularly
