HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 27052 CITY SECRETARY CONTRACT NO. _ tZ ,�.2_ CONTRACT NUMBER 582-1-89369 CONTRACT AMENDMENT STATE OF TEXAS § COUNTY OF TRAVIS § AMENDMENT NUMBER 1 The Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC) and the City of Fort Worth hereby agree to amend Contract No. 582-1-89369, as shown below. This amendment increases the total compensation possible under the contract and extends the contract period for another fiscal year. 1. TNRCC and the City of Fort Worth agree that the total compensation possible under this contract is increased as follows: The Original Contract Amount $ 60,000.00 Contract Amendment No. 1 $ 60,000.00 The Total Contract Amount $ 120,000.00 2. The Section titled "Term of Contract," see Article 4, on the page 1 of the Contract Agreement, is amended to extend the contract period. Authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to City Secretary Contract No. 26451 with the Texas Natural Resources Conservation Commission (TNRCC) to operate three continuous air monitoring stations for the period beginning September 1, 2001 through August 31, 2002; and 2. Adopt the attached appropriation ordinance increasing estimated receipts and appropriations in the Grants Fund by $60,000 in FY2001-2002, subject to receipt of an executed contract. DISCUSSION: On August 22, 2000 (M&C C-18196), the City Council approved an Interlocal Agreement with the TNRCC that specified payments to the City in the amount of $60,000 for the operation of three ozone monitoring sites during FY2000-2001. The TNRCC has submitted a contract amendment for an additional $60,000 for FY2001-2002. The Department of Environmental Management operates and maintains three continuous air monitoring stations for the TNRCC. One station is located in the Keller area, another station is near Annetta, Texas, in Parker County, and the third station is located in the northwest corner of Tarrant County. All three stations are equipped with an ozone monitor and a meteorological tower to monitor wind speed, wind direction, and temperature. These monitors are part of the state initiative for Environmental Monitoring for public access and community tracking of ozone air pollution in the Fort Worth/Dallas area. The TNRCC provides all the air monitoring equipment, parts, and supplies for the proper operation of the air monitoring stations, and is contracting with the City for the operation and maintenance of this monitoring equipment. The City will be responsible for retrieving the sampling data, sending it for analysis, and performing regular maintenance activities on the equipment. City of Fort Worth, Texas 41y � o .)
