SUBJECT AUTHORIZATION FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH GRAHAM
ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR PARKING LOT AND ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS AT
SOUTH Z. BOAZ PARK
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute a professional services
agreement with Graham Associates, Inc. in the amount of $21,500 for the design and preparation of
construction documents for parking lot and roadway improvements at South Z. Boaz Park.
DISCUSSION:
The 1993 Capital Improvement Program allocated $150,000 for roadway, parking and drainage
improvements for South Z. Boaz Park.
Graham Associates, Inc. has proposed to perform the design work for a lump sum of$21,500. Graham
Associates, Inc. and the Parks and Community Services Department will assess the existing roads and
parking conditions, determine recommended repair, replacement, and necessary additions to the
existing infrastructure as warranted by additional recreational uses. Staff considers this fee to be fair
and reasonable for the scope of services proposed.
This project is located in COUNCIL DISTRICT 3.
FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION:
The Finance Director certifies that funds are available in the current capital budget, as appropriated, of
the Street Improvements Fund.
