WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth has been a member of the Fort
Worth Consortium for Employment and Training Programs
since 1973; and
WHEREAS, the Consortium membership consists 'of the cities of
Arlington, Euless, Fort Worth, Haltom City and White
Settlement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Worth and other Consortium Member Cities
have approved resolutions indicating their desire to
continue the Consortium Agreement in fiscal year 1992-
1993; and
WHEREAS, the Job Training Partnership Act regulations require the
establishment of Private Industry Councils; and
WHEREAS,, recent changes in the Job Training Partnership Act, Pub.
L. 97-300, as amended, have mandated certain changes in
the composition of and representation on Public Industry
Councils; and
WHEREAS, these mandatory changes have been adopted by amendment of
the by-laws of the Fort Worth Consortium Private Industry
C:ouric~l ~, and
NOW, ,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FORT WORTH's
That the'~~amen~dment~s; to the Private Industry Council Bylaws,
Article 4,"~Sec`tons"B5, B6 and B7, and Article 5, Sections D6 and
D7, are hereby approved and the following changes authorized:
1. Expansion of the number of places on the Private Industry
Council (PIC) from 21 to 22;
2'. .Reinstatement of Seat -No. 20 and movement of the Human
Services Seat from Seat No. 23 to Seat No. 20;
I 3. Designation of Seat No. 16 as the Economic Development
Agency Seat;
4. Reinstatement of Seat No. 22 as a Community: Based
Organization Seat;

5. Renumbering of the PIC Seats from 1 to 22; and
6. Deletion of Seat},No. 23.
