HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 1901rY ~' A Resolution NO . ~~~ • WHEREAS, the State of Texas acquired and holds in its own name right-of-way on Farm to Market Highway 731 as described in attached Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, the State of Texas has determined that said right-of-way is no longer needed for the construction, maintenance and operation of Farm to Market Highway 731; and WHEREAS, City staff have studied the public need for said right- of-way and have determined that said right-of-way is no longer needed by the citizens as a road for public trans- portation purposes and is not suitable for conservation, park, recreation, and/or similar purposes; and WHEREAS, City staff recommends that the City Council concur with the proposal of the State of Texas to offer said right- of-way for sale to the adjacent property owner; ' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT WORTH, TEXAS: 1. That the Farm to Market Highway 731 right-of-way owned by the State of Texas, as shown on attached Exhibit "A", is no longer needed by the citizens as a road and is not suitable for conserva- tion, park, public transportation, recreation, or similar purposes; and 2. That the City of Fort Worth concurs with the proposal of the State of Texas to offer the said right-of-way for sale to the adjacent property owner. PASSED this ay of`-~ , 1993. M'. 731 CSJ: 1094-1-20 Tract 17-92 Page 1 of 2 PROPERTY DESCRIPTION BEING 0.844 of an'acre of land, more or less, situated in the Charles Martin Survey, Abstract No. 1022, Tarrant County, Texas, and being a portion of that certain tract of land conveyed to the State of Texas for F.M. 731 by J. B. Needham and wife, Lena Needham, on May 5, 1948, as recorded in Volume 2011, Page 407, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, said 0.844 of an acre of land, more or less, being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the west right-of-way line of F.M. 731, which bears South 43° 10' 35" West a distance of 159.24 feet from the intersection of said West right-of-way line with the North right-of-way line of~Risinger Road. B. Needham and wife, Lena Needham, on May 5, 1948, as recorded in Volume 2011, Page 407, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, said 0.132 of an acre of land, more or less, being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point which bears South 23° 34' 04" West, a distance of 580.65 feet from the intersection of the West right-of-way line of F.M. 731 and the North right-of-way line of Risinger Road, said point being the beginning of a curve to the left whose radius is 2358.83 feet and whose long chord bears South 25° 04' 25" West, a distance of 95.71 feet, said point also being Westerly of and at right angles to the new centerline survey station 209+56 of F.M. 731, a distance of 67.00 feet; THENCE along said curve through a central angle of 02° 19' 30", a distance of 95.72 feet to a point; THENCE South 71° 29' 53" West, a distance of 32.37 feet to a point; - THENCE North 54° 50' 47" West, a distance of 52.07 feet to a point; THENCE North 38° 03' 22" East, a distance of 41.49 feet to a point; THENCE North 58° 06' 43t1 East, a distance of 58.85 feet to a point; THENCE North 85° 11' 14" East, a distance of 38.42 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.132 of an acre of land, more or less.
