WITNESSETH that the Lease is hereby renewed and extended for a further term of 12 MONTHS to commence on the 1St day of JUNE, 2001, and to end on the 313t day of MAY, 2002, on condition that Landlord and Tenant comply with all the provisions of the covenants and agreements contained in the Lease, except 1. KOBS, ROBERT W. DOWLING AND EMILY DOWLING FOR A NEIGHBORHOOD POLICING DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council: 1. Authorize the City Manager to execute a lease extension with Tracy L. Kobs, Robert W. Dowling, and Emily Dowling for office space located at 2509 Merrick Street at a cost of $39,600.00 per year; and 2. Approve the lease extension term of one year beginning June 1, 2001, and expiring May 31, 2002. DISCUSSION: At the request of the Police Department, the Engineering Department, Real Property Management Division negotiated a lease extension agreement with Tracy L. Kobs, Robert W. Dowling, and Emily Dowling for office space to be used as a neighborhood policing district headquarters. The lease extension term is for one year. The rental charge is $3,300 per month for the space. The City has leased this space since April 1, 1995, and is responsible for payment of all utility costs. FISCAL INFORMATION/CERTIFICATION: The Finance Director certifies that funds are available in the current operating budget, as appropriated, of the Crime Control and Prevention District Fund.
