During the public comment section of a recent City Council meeting, the City of Fort Worth's debt
per capita was discussed. Specifically, this topic was introduced with respect to the City's $399.5
million referendum which occurred on May 5, 2018. During the discussion, the City of Fort
Worth's debt per capita was compared to other major metropolitan Texas cities.
Ratios supporting the debt per capita calculation are available for all cities within the state who
publish a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. As of May 1, 2018, the chart below depicts
the City's debt per capita along with several other jurisdictions and each city's associated general
obligation bond rating.

As indicated within the chart, the City of Fort Worth's tax supported debt per capita as of May 1 ,
2018 equates to $769.00, which ranks us the lowest of any major metropolitan city in the state.
